Job profile

This role requires the individual to develop and maintain Oasys LS-DYNA Environment Software (http://www.oasys-software.com/dyna/en/). Oasys is the software house of Arup. Its LS-Dyna environment software is used by vehicle manufactures and consultants across the world. This is an ideal role for someone with exceptional skills in Finite Element Analysis and Modelling concepts, and who has demonstrable ability to develop software using the C and Fortran programming languages.

The selected candidate will be a part of a small development team distributed between Birmingham (UK) and Hyderabad. The role requires the individual to work independently with limited guidance, learn new technologies and be comfortable with taking complete responsibility for tasks that involve software design, development, testing, and the provision of user documentation.

Job requirements

• M.S./M.Tech./Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
• Software development experience in C
• Familiarity with Fortran
• Proven ability in solving technical problems
• Good understanding of Finite Element Analysis concepts
• Experience with using FEM packages such as LS-DYNA, NASTRAN or Ansys
• Good communication skills
