Software Engineer - Structural Engineering software

Role:   Software Engineer - Structural Engineering software

Location:   Hyderabad, India

Job profile

This role requires the individual to develop and maintain Oasys structural engineering software. Oasys is the software house of Arup. Its structural software is used by customers across the world and is also the main structural analysis tool for engineers in Arup. This is an ideal role for someone who has exceptional skills in structural mechanics and design, has demonstrable ability to develop software tools and has minimum of two years of working experience.

The selected candidate will be part of a small development team distributed between London, Hyderabad. The role requires the individual to work with limited guidance, independently learn new technologies and be comfortable in taking complete responsibility for a task. In time the role will cover software design, development, testing, the provision of user documentation, support, training, and promotion of the software, though, initially, the focus will be on software development.

Job requirements

• Higher education degree in Structural Engineering.
• Structural analysis and design experience.
• Software development experience in Object Oriented programming using C++.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
