Oracle Application Development and Support Engineer

Role:   Oracle Application Development and Support Engineer

Location:   Hyderabad, India

Job profile

The successful candidate will be working as a member the Arup’s Information Systems Group (ISG), team that manages and supports enterprise applications for Arup. The post-holder will be providing support and implementation of enterprise applications. This post requires the applicant to have a flexible approach with importance on team working and communication.

This is a client facing role and the applicant must be committed to maintaining a high level of service for ISG clients.

The selected individual will be expected to work under nominal supervision and manage their own activities on a day-to-day basis. The post holder will also work closely and have regular contact with internal clients and 3rd party suppliers of applications.

Duties of the post-holder include:

• Custom installation and configuration
• User support and interface mainte
• Performance monitoring and tuning
• Testing
• Production implementation
• Process monitoring
• Upgrades
• General Application Support

Job requirements

• Minimum of three years’ experience
• Oracle SQL and PLSQL excellent knowledge
• Very good knowledge of HRMS table within Oracle E-Business Suite R12 or R11
• Oracle Workflow in Oracle E-Business Suite - Ability to customise workflows, diagnose problems and fix them. Workflow admin
• Oracle Discoverer Management - Upgrading Discoverer, End User Layer management, Creating Reports, Debugging reports, 2nd line technical support for users
• Oracle Alert - Writing new Alerts, maintain existing alerts
• Experienced in writing interfaces between E-Business Suite and other systems
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Arup are currently upgrading from Oracle E-Business Suite 11i (11.5.10 CU2) to R12 (12.1.2). Working knowledge of any of the following would also be particularly valuable:

• Oracle E-Business Suite 11i HRMS modules
• Application Development FrameWork (ADF)
• Java
• XML Publisher
